Orbach was the second-longest tenured chancellor at UCR. Under Orbach’s leadership, UCR grew from 8,800 students to over 14,000. Córdova is an astrophysicist, the 14th director of the National Science Foundation (NSF), and president emerita of Purdue University. 她是第一位担任加州大学校长的西班牙裔女性.
